Hello,

I have never done anything like this before, so I dont really know how to begin. I guess I will start with a little about me and my family. Please bear with me if I ramble, as writing this seems like I am admitting defeat.

I have had a job since I was 14. My wife has had one since she was 16. I worked in chicken houses, then plumbing, then the military, then in the satellite communications industry, then as a poice officer. The only time in my life that I have not had a fulltime job was when I was in college, and even then I had a part time one.

I now work for a company that positions wells/rigs/pipelines for oil companies offshore.  My wife quit her job at child protective services to be a stay at home mom and complete her masters degree in social work. Everything was great, I could support us all.We have a nice house, 2 great children and a third on the way.

Then I became ill. We still are not sure what is going on. I keep having test after test( another nuclear bone scan next week.) At first the doctors thought that I had just strained some tissue between my ribs, and that the swelling was pushing my ribs apart causing me pain. After 4 months, and numerous tests, we were still trying to figure out what was going on and we realized that I might not be going back to work any day now. I am only getting worse. It now hurts when I breath too deep, laugh, or god forbid I sneeze. I cannot pick up my children.I am on medication that makes me loopy. Obviously the company I work for will not allow me to work.  I recieve 60% of my salary. (net 1800 a month. My pay when I was working was appro 100k a year. It was nothing for me to have 500 hours a month. I have never made just my salary. We based our lifestyle off of my income. 1800 a month does not go very far when your house note is 1250 a month.

I had a cash reserve saved up. I planned to start a business with it. Two hurricanes, hurricane damage, vehicle repairs, mortgage payments, medical bills, medicine, and 8 months of salary only have all dwindled that to nothing. Our nice house is up for sale. It is that or be forclosed on. We have another small 2 bedroom house that I was paying for my mother in law to live in....I can no longer make the payments on it. I paid her house note and electric for years. She is disabled and my wife loves her.....and it kept her from living with us. (Thats probably the scariest part of all of this, she is now going to have to live with us) Thats a feeble attempt at humor if you were wondering

My wife will graduate in May with her masters. She is currently has applications for jobs out everywhere. And is thinking about dropping out of grad school. I have nothing left to sell to get us through a few more months. I am looking for employment that I can do in my condition. but I cannot even push carts at Wal Mart.

I have a rv that we are about to park on my sisters property to live out of until we can get going again. I am selling the nice house to whoever will take up the notes. The other one I am selling for a little more, but i need to get the equity that I have in it to help us get by.

Does anyone know where I can get a small loan/grant/anything to us get by until I can get the houses sold? I have money in a 401k account, but  cannot get that unless I quit my job. If I quit mt job I lose my insurance. Is there anyone who will loan based off of  a 401k? Or can anyone suggest anything that I can do?

This is to about vig,

My name is Lesa. I want to share something with you that happened to me this week.I did an egine search lookng for non profit organizatons to help assist me with my dental and bless be to God in less than twenty four hour after I emailed this one organization they responded and offered me a $1000.00 towards helping me to get started on some of my dental work. They help with other needs as well. I know that a $1000.00 is not alot in your present situation but I would email Modest Needs.Org. I'm almost postive. When you email them just keep it real and honest about your situation and I'm almost sure they would help you. If you decide to go to the site email me at lesajarvis@comcast.net and let me know how things turn out. Also if I come across something I will definitely let you know because I'm still search for other sources. Good Luck and God Bless.
